The Singapore Brand Conference 2008 will be the platform that is used to launch the highly acclaimed new branding book called Differentiate Or Sell Cheap : The 13 Strategies Of Differentiation. This book is authored by the Principal Consultants of StrategiCom, Jacky Tai and Wilson Chew. The book is published by Marshall Cavendish, a subsidiary of Times Publishing.
This book is an important one for Singapore companies as it talks about how Singapore companies can differentiate themselves more effectively in order to gain an unfair advantage over their competitors. As the market gets more and more cluttered with new competitors springing up like clockwork, it becomes more important for Singapore companies to differentiate themselves. Without differentiation, Singapore companies will be forced to compete on price which is a viable strategy only if they have structural cost advantage that can allow them to maintain a low price and still remain profitable.
